University Graduates

A great opportunity for university graduates

Trainee Translator (English native speaker)

EVS can offer university graduates with a degree in languages and translation the opportunity to gain an insight into the translation industry. To accompany our increasing international presence and our constant growth, we are looking for trainee translators (German to English) for our offices in Offenbach, Munich and Nottingham (UK), for summer 2009 at the latest.

We can offer future university graduates with English as their mother tongue and an excellent knowledge of written and spoken German a 6-month trainee programme, during which time they can gain an insight into the translation industry. You will be introduced to translating documents from German into English and proofreading finished translations. On successful completion of the training programme, you will be offered a position in one of our EVS offices.

Ideally, you will have focussed on finance and/or technology while studying for your degree in translation. You will also have gained a basic knowledge of CAT tools, preferably TRADOS.
